GGC v Gleneagles Club Match
Sunday 7th June 2026
With little prospect of a dry round, the teams enjoyed soup and sandwiches before preparing the waterproofs for battle. Once out, the rain seemed to have little impact and some great golf was played by all. Gleneagles hoped to nullify the home advantage by bringing their low handicappers - four of them under 5 and the best at +1.3. Killie got off to a great start, going 2 up, but by the end it was back to 3 all. After golf and a shower we all sat down to a great dinner and new friendships were cemented over coffee. As everyone left, they all stopped to comment on what a great day it was and that everyone from both sides had been good company. This confirms my view that these team games are not just about the golf, but more about the people we meet and the new courses we play. Photo - David Michie and Tariq Ali - Team Captains.
